There are many variables that can affect the timeline, but a typical custom sauna process starts with about 3 weeks from first call to finalized order. That includes initial layout approval, design work, and one round of revision. From order to delivery, we are usually around 8 weeks. During that time we triple-check measurements, cut your selected sauna lumber, build benches, order components and accessories, and crate everything for shipping. Your electrician and handyman should be finishing site prep during this window. Shipping usually takes 7 to 10 days. If Symmetry is doing the install, we schedule the crew after the sauna arrives and site prep is confirmed. The average custom sauna install takes about 5 days.

We do. We partner with leading cold plunge makers and can help pair a plunge with your sauna. If you intend to buy a sauna and a cold plunge, ask the Symmetry team about current package options.

We do. Pre-built saunas are a strong option if you may need to move the sauna in the future, want a simpler path, or your budget does not allow for a full custom build. To see the current lineup, visit the residential pre-built page or speak with a Symmetry specialist.

We curate a small selection of high-quality pre-built saunas so you do not have to sort through every option on the market. Every Symmetry customer also receives our Symmetry perks, no matter which sauna they purchase.

Every project is different, so these figures are only rough planning ranges. Indoor built-in custom saunas with premium sauna-grade lumber, custom benches, a quality traditional heater, and full glass door often start around $10,000 for 2-3 people, $15,000 for 3-5 people, and $22,000 for 5-10 people. Installation is not included in those ranges. Outdoor ground-up custom saunas often start around $18,000 for 2-3 people, $28,000 for 3-5 people, and $35,000 for 5-10 people. If your site is within an hour's drive of a Symmetry-Certified install crew, we would love to build it. If not, we provide a full set of elevations and clear instructions, and our install advisors are available to your onsite contractor as questions come up.

It depends on the contractor's experience. If they have never done a sauna installation before and are learning on the job, expect roughly 15%-25% of the sauna cost. If they have sauna experience and a strong portfolio, the install may be closer to 35%-60% depending on complexity.

Our saunas are transported by freight companies throughout the lower 48. Shipping is always included in your sauna quote.
